Hehuanshan is located on the border of Hualien and Nantou counties. On the way to catch the sunrise, you will pass scenic mountain spots such as Meifeng, Cuifeng, Yuanfeng, and Kunyang, before arriving at Wuling (3,275 m) — the highest point of Taiwan’s highway network.
Songxue Lodge, converted from a former residence of Chiang Kai-shek, is the highest hotel in Taiwan and one of the best locations to watch the sunrise at Hehuanshan.
Witness the first light of day and admire the breathtaking “cotton candy” sea of clouds, a magical moment that marks the beginning of a wonderful day!
